|---|---|
| Very Likely | Your rank is comfortably better than the cutoff. A safe pick. |
| Likely | Good chance, though not a sure thing. |
| Possible | Roughly a toss-up. |
| A Stretch | Your rank is a bit behind the cutoff — possible, but don’t count on it. |
| Unlikely | Your rank is well behind the cutoff. |
How this is actually calculated
We divide your rank by the programme’s cutoff rank. A smaller result means an easier programme for you. For example, rank 1,000 against a cutoff of 743 gives roughly 1.35 — Unlikely. The same rank against a cutoff of 18,643 gives roughly 0.05 — Very Likely.
What this doesn’t cover
