These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of maargamitra.in (the “Service”), operated by Maargamitra. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
What Maargamitra Provides
Maargamitra shows, for a given AIR (All India Rank), which undergraduate research-focused programmes are realistically within reach, alongside a research-strength profile of each programme — compiled from official closing-rank data and institute-published information. It is provided for personal planning and informational purposes only.
Not Official Admissions or Counselling Advice
Maargamitra is an informational planning tool, not a substitute for the official JoSAA/CSAB counselling process, an institute’s own admissions office, or a qualified career counsellor. Closing ranks shift from year to year and admission outcomes depend on the official counselling round in effect at the time — always confirm current eligibility and cutoffs through official channels before making a decision.
Data Coverage and Limitations
Coverage is a work in progress and does not yet include every institute or programme. Where a programme or institute is not listed, that reflects current coverage, not a judgement about the programme itself. We aim for accuracy but do not guarantee the data is complete or error-free.
Acceptable Use
The site and its public data API are provided for individual, non-commercial research and planning use. You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to disrupt it or placing excessive automated load on it.
No Warranty
The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maargamitra is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, or from decisions made in reliance on it.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
